The party is over

Well...the party is over.
I've changed from being an on-call nurse
to becoming a scheduled nurse.
The pros are that I get to schedule more of my life!
The con is that I have to schedule more of my life.
I have a Thursday/Friday/Saturday morning shift.
No more lazy Saturday mornings for a long while.
The deal is we have to work one weekend day every week.
I picked Saturday versus Sunday so I can attend church.
The good thing is that I will be off around 3 pm on Saturday
and then will have the rest of the weekend off.
Except this weekend...when I cover a Sunday evening shift.
Confused yet?

I'm so lucky that my mom has watched my kids almost exclusively
while I was in school and during my first few months of work.
I'm hoping to pare it down to one day a week and then
sending the kids for 2 hours each week to the local
Boys and Girls club.
Anyone have any advice or thoughts about sending kids
to the Boys and Girls club?
I'm nervous cause they've always been with someone
that loves them.
I'm fortunate that the kids both go to school full time and
there is only roughly 2 hours they would have to spend somewhere else.
They have their daddy on Saturday.
I know that just when I think I've gotten it all figured out,
something will change.
Never fails! :)

What a great schedule! Congratulations & good for you!!!
I've heard good & bad things about the boys & girls club (the one in Albany). I think if you ask 10 people you will get 10 different answers... isn't that always the case with everything. Go into it thinking good things & I'm sure it will turn out that way :)

I think that the boys and girls club has a good after school program...I've heard pretty good things.
Just see how they like it, if they end up hating it, you can always take em out.
